The Southwest Public Schools Board of Education approved two equipment purchases during its June 16 meeting. The board approved an Apple quote of $5,678 to replace iPads used by kindergarten through second-grade students; the purchase was funded from Depreciation Funds and passed on a 4–0 vote (motion by Brooke Brooks, second by Duane Teter).
The board also approved a Restaurant Supply quote of $19,172 to purchase an elementary cafeteria serving table. The motion to approve the serving table was moved by Jennifer McConville and seconded by Brooke Brooks; the vote was recorded as Ayes: McConville, Brooks, Teter and Neseth and the motion carried.
Both purchases were recorded as motions in the minutes and were approved without recorded opposition or abstentions in the transcript.
