Doctor Cunningham announced the department will launch the Epic electronic health record system the following week, targeting a systemwide go‑live on the 14th. "It's gonna be a little bumpy the 1st few months whenever you implement a new EHR," she said, and warned staff would work across two records systems until full data integration is complete.
She and other presenters said Epic should improve data access for clinical teams and for the medical examiner's office, which will be able to view records directly for death investigations. Board members welcomed the change and said better EHR reporting should help restore some metrics previously unavailable from the legacy system.
