The Shakopee Public Schools Board approved its final levy for taxes payable in 2025 at its Dec. 16 meeting, a measure the district said will fund the 2025–26 school year.
According to the meeting transcript, "Motion to approve final levy was approved by Aldrich, seconded by Brophy." The vote was recorded by roll call with "all presented in favor, none opposed." The board did not record any public comment during the Truth in Taxation hearing portion of the meeting.
The levy was discussed as part of the Truth in Taxation hearing held at the start of the meeting; no speakers from the public registered comments. The board adjourned the Truth in Taxation hearing and then proceeded to the business meeting, where the levy motion was presented and approved.
The board completed remaining agenda business and adjourned the meeting at 7:41 p.m.
