Rockford board certifies 2024 levy, accepts audit and approves substitute pay rates

The Rockford Board of Education approved several fiscal and personnel items at its Dec. 16 regular meeting, including certification of the Final Levy 2024 payable in 2025, acceptance of the FY23-24 Audit Report, and new substitute pay rates effective Feb. 1, 2025. CFO Bridget Peterson presented the audit and levy certification; Director of Business Operations Mike McNulty presented the substitute-rate proposal.
Motions to approve the three items passed unanimously. The substitute pay rates were approved on a motion by Johnson, seconded by Edwards; the FY23-24 Audit Report was approved on a motion by Edwards, seconded by Kneeland; and the Final Levy 2024 (payable 2025) certification was approved on a motion by Praska, seconded by Hillstrom. The board recorded no opposing votes during roll-call or consent approvals.
