WEM board approves personnel changes, FMLA request and summer SACC staffing

The WATERVILLE-ELYSIAN-MORRISTOWN Board approved several personnel items on Feb. 24 as part of the consent agenda. The board approved a Family and Medical Leave of Absence request for 1st-grade teacher Madysson Dufault beginning on or around Aug. 25, 2025 through Oct. 17, 2025. Recorded resignations included Erin Hoepner (paraprofessional, effective Jan. 30, 2025) and Amber Karels (Waterville school nurse, effective until a replacement is found). The board also accepted retirements: Joyce Mace (Special Education Case Facilitator, effective June 2, 2025) and Patty Whitehurst (Elementary School Counselor, effective June 3, 2025).
The consent agenda included Community Education summer SACC staff hires: adults Susan Bliss, Vicki Gregor, Christine McCoy, Kyleigh Duffey and Kylie LaFrance at $13.54/hour and students Auston Holicky and Sara Jeffries at $11.54/hour. The personnel items were approved by motion with six members voting in favor.
