The Alexandria Township Board of Education approved routine business items by consent on March 20, including the bill list for February–March (total $1,143,952.71) and the January 31, 2025 financial reports and transfers. The School Business Administrator certified no line-item account was over-expended as of that date.
Consent-agenda approvals also included the first reading of P 7440.1 (Immigrant Students) and second/final readings for Policy 5350 (Student Suicide Prevention), Policy 0164 (Conduct of Board Meeting) and Regulation 9270 (Home Schooling). The board approved the sale/trade-in of grounds equipment to offset a new mower purchase and recorded monthly bus, fire and security drills. The board also approved participation of students from Kingwood Township School in Alexandria's girls lacrosse and softball programs.
Several items were initially passed as a consent agenda without item 12.C.1; that vote passed 9–0. Later procedural votes amended and then approved 12.C.1. Routine items will be implemented by the business office and relevant departments.
