The Board of Selectmen reviewed transfer requests submitted by the interim finance officer to cover shortfalls in fuel oil, insurance deductibles, employee retirement, general liability, health insurance and telephone/HVAC accounts. Chair summarized causes including salary accruals, a higher resident trooper bill and overtime, and the board voted to forward the transfer requests to the Board of Finance.
S2 read appointments to the Economic Development Commission: Ethan Biggs and Gregory Post for five‑year terms, John Turnberg moved from alternate to a full member (unexpired term to 07/01/2030) and Gregory Post was named EDC chairman with a term to expire 06/30/2027. The board approved the appointments as presented.
The board also voted to accept a $2,037.75 donation that had been designated for youth programs following the end of a police cadet program; the chair said the board would split the funds across departments for junior firefighter/junior cadet programming. The chair noted the town applied for an early‑voting grant and believed the award would be about $7,500 but said the amount was not final.
