The Tahoe City PUD board authorized staff to execute a development agreement for the Tahoe Cross Country Lodge replacement and expansion project that covers phase‑1 construction of utilities, driveway and parking areas and trailhead improvements.
Sue Ray (identified in the meeting as the project's finance manager) said the agreement, coupled with previously approved phase‑1 funding, will allow work to begin; she invited board members to a ceremonial groundbreaking set for June 20 and said most site work will wait until school is out. Staff also explained the district will take ownership of certain utility segments to the service point and fire hydrants when those elements are completed and accepted.
Board members asked technical and timing questions about acceptance of underground utilities and the likelihood that some side parking may be graded but winterized until the later building phase. The motion to authorize execution of the development agreement was made, seconded and approved by roll call.
