Staff told the committee they are in discussions with CRS senior services about using the Fairway Center parking lot as a temporary transfer location for meal distribution and expect to draft a temporary agreement to allow operations to begin while a formal memorandum of understanding is prepared.
"We are in discussions with the CRS senior services regarding use of our parking lot at FCC, so we are working on that," a staff member said, adding the plan is for the district to permit only a small transfer operation rather than a full CRS on-site meal production or storage program. Staff emphasized this would be a limited transfer point to improve West Shore deliveries and that volunteers and liability concerns (waivers and indemnification) are being addressed.
Staff said they will return to the committee and parts-and-rec committee with a recommended MOU for board consideration once operational and liability details are resolved.
