South St. Paul board approves multiple personnel and policy updates

Director Claflin moved and Director Weber seconded approval of policies including #605 (Alternative Educational Services), #611 (Home Schooling), #304 (Superintendent Contract, Duties and Evaluation), #402 (Disability Nondiscrimination Policy), #403 (Discipline, Suspension, and Dismissal of School District Employees), #405 (Veteran's Preference), #407 (Employee Right to Know – Exposure to Hazardous Substances), #409 (Staff Participation in Political Activities), #436 (Nepotism) and #806 (Crisis Management). The motion carried 6-0.
The actions formalize routine personnel and governance items ahead of the 2025-26 school year. Superintendent Dr. Brian Zambreno and staff were present for the meeting; Acting Secretary-Clerk Lisa Brandecker recorded the minutes.
