The Rush City Public School District board put a slate of policy changes on first reading Nov. 21. Policies listed for first reading included Policy 515 (Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records), Policy 801 (Equal Access to School Facilities), Policy 802 (Disposition of Obsolete Equipment and Material), Policy 805 (Waste Reduction and Recycling), Policy 901 (Community Education), Policy 903 (Visitors to School District Buildings), Policy 904 (Distribution of Materials on School Property by Nonschool Persons), Policy 905 (Advertising), Policy 906 (Community Notification of Predatory Offenders) and Policy 907 (Rewards).
Board materials identified these items as first readings with revisions noted, meaning the board opened formal consideration but did not adopt the policies at the Nov. 21 meeting. The items will return for further consideration under the district's policy review process.
