Smith said the program raised $4,000 at its first home tournament and that operations "have been no burden to the school," adding that he had received no complaints from Superintendent Max Torgerson. He also reported prospective new participants from Grand Rapids who plan to join Hill City’s program next year, and characterized the outlook for participation as optimistic.
