Wilson Creek to join Odessa track team; board approves spring sports and overnight activity requests

Athletic Director Larry Moffet told the board that Wilson Creek will join Odessa’s track team this spring and that one ACH athlete will practice with Odessa. Spring track and baseball schedules were reported as complete, the golf schedule was pending, and the fall football schedule lists four home games and five away. Moffet said the district currently has four open coaching positions and that hiring for junior-high baseball will depend on participation numbers.
During new business the board approved a cooperative spring-sports agreement with Wilson Creek and approved overnight stays for FBLA and FFA activities. The motions for both items carried on unanimous votes (5-0). The approvals permit staff and coaches to finalize schedules, travel, and chaperone arrangements for the approved extracurricular activities.
