Superintendent previews building assessment and bond planning as enrollment dips slightly

Superintendent Darin Drill told the board Jan. 13 that the district has begun work on a building-assessment report to inform priorities for a future bond. The district contracted a company to assess each building over the winter break; the assessment will be used to identify repairs, needs and priorities to shape bond planning.
Drill also reported enrollment is a few students lower than past years and supplied staffing figures: the packet shows 347 staff full-time equivalents, which the district calculated as a 7.88 staff-to-student ratio for the 2024–25 school year. Stegall requested historical FTE data going back 10 years; Drill said he will attempt to provide as far back as records allow and to update the board in the next meeting. Drill also noted a service ticket into PGE for an exterior light at Cloverdale Elementary.
