Board approves multiple hires and volunteer coaches; one member abstains

The Yellow Medicine East ISD #2190 board approved several personnel actions during its February meeting. The board voted to employ Shelly Schulz as a food service cashier and approved Paige Lehrkamp as the Industrial Technology Teacher for the 2025–26 school year. The board also approved volunteer baseball coaches Brett Almich and Mike Richter.
Each of the personnel motions was moved by Matt Zempel and seconded by Laurel Christianson; minutes record that the motions "carried, with Amanda Lecy abstaining" for these items. The abstentions are recorded in the minutes for transparency and will be part of the personnel action record.
