Staff presented a funding agreement to support Phase 1 construction of the Cross Country Ski Education and Lodge project. The presenter said this $710,000 installment is the second piece of a previously approved $2,500,000 package agreed in January 2024 and covers underground utilities, a driveway, and trailhead improvements.
The Ski Education Association did not request changes to the draft agreement, staff said, and a separate development agreement will follow to authorize temporary construction easements and define other development terms. A board member moved to approve the agreement; the board recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed. "We are in the process of negotiating with our contractor to make sure that we can complete phase 1 this summer," the presenter said.
Staff will return with the related development agreement and any required easement documents in a subsequent meeting.
