At a May 12, 2025 Stakeholder Comments session of the South St. Paul Public Schools Board of Education, a public commenter asked the board to expand academic supports and opportunities so students are better prepared for college. The meeting was called to order by Chair Kim Humann at 6:30 p.m.; Superintendent Dr. Brian Zambreno and six board members were listed as present.
The commenter framed the request as a call for more college-readiness supports, saying the district should increase opportunities that help students meet postsecondary expectations. Board members did not take a vote or make a formal commitment during the stakeholder-comments portion; the session adjourned at 6:39 p.m. Official minutes and any staff follow-up will be available in the district office at 104 - 5th Ave. S. in South St. Paul. Funding sources and specific program proposals were not specified in the public comment.
