Superintendent Tucci Osorio reviewed a first informal reading of a group of district policies during the March 4, 2025 ISD 622 work study session. The policies named included 413 (Harassment and Violence); 512 (School-Sponsored Student Publications and Activities); 516 (Student Medication); 519 (Interviews of Students by Outside Agencies); 606 and 606.5 (Textbooks, Instructional Materials and Library Materials); 614 and 615 (Testing plan and testing accommodations, modifications and exemptions for IEPs, Section 504 plans and LEP students); 621 (Literacy and The Read Act); 701 (Establishment and Adoption of School District Budget); and 727 (Uniform Grant Guidelines).
Tucci Osorio told the board that the package will be a discussion item at the March 18, 2025 business meeting for a second formal reading and is proposed for action at the April 29, 2025 business meeting. The board did not take formal action on the policies at the March 4 work study; the meeting served as an initial review and early opportunity for board members to ask questions before the formal readings.
