Milton-Freewater — Superintendent Aaron Duff updated the board on maintenance and capital matters at the Sept. 9 meeting, reporting that the Mac‑Hi parking lot "has been asphalted and looks great" and that most summer projects are complete.
Duff said staff are planning projects to be completed over the winter break and that fall sports fields are in good condition. On the Ag building at Ferndale, Duff told the board the district is down to two possible contractors and expects to bring a contractor recommendation to the board in October.
Duff also reminded members about the regional school board conference at the ESD office in Pendleton on Sept. 19, 2024 and asked members to notify Janet for registration. The board set its next regular meeting for Oct. 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Freewater School.
