Summer program "well attended," presenters tell Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 board

Milton-Freewater — During reports at the Sept. 9 Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 school board meeting, Steffany Esser summarized the district's summer school, saying the program offered added activities and strong participation this summer.
"This summer was busy and had many added options of things for students to do. The summer program was well attended and all the staff would love to see this program with all its benefits return next summer," Esser said. Board members heard that staff would like to continue the program and noted benefits for learners; the meeting packet included a flyer with program details.
The summer program report was given as part of the board's reports section; no board action was required. The district encouraged board members to review the attached flyer for attendance figures and specific offerings when considering program support in future budgets.
