Milton‑Freewater board approves extra‑duty contracts and a certified hire

Superintendent Aaron Duff presented three extra‑duty contracts: Roberto Gomez as Athletic Director at Mac‑Hi, Andreina Alvarez as Head Cross Country Coach at Central Middle School and Sara Harris as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Mac‑Hi. Tina Kain moved to approve the extra‑duty contracts; Kathy Silva seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
On certified personnel, Duff presented Brayden Rutledge for appointment as a Social Studies teacher at Mac‑Hi. Kelly Kessler moved to approve the certified hire; Duane Geyer seconded and the vote was unanimous. The board also approved a confidential contract presented by the superintendent (motion by Tina Kain; second by Kathy Silva; unanimous vote).
These actions were recorded as routine personnel approvals to prepare staff and coaching assignments for the 2024–25 school year.
