Council to consider indemnity authorization and housing maintenance agreement; Almond WTP contract deferred

During the Aug. 5 mayor-manager meeting, City Manager Sean Lewis flagged multiple items expected on the Aug. 17 regular meeting consent agenda and asked whether the mayor would assent to consent placement. Among them was an authorization to defend and indemnify claims involving an Englewood police officer; Mayor Pro Tem Tim Joe Anderson agreed to place the item on consent.
Staff also flagged a maintenance agreement for the sale of Englewood Housing Authority duplexes and received assent to include it on the consent agenda. A separate matter — a GH Phillips contract for Almond Water Treatment Plant Phase 2 space improvements — lacked a contract dollar amount in the meeting and may not yet have completed internal Water & Sewer review. Because staff could not confirm the amount, Mayor Pro Tem Anderson asked to hold that item for a later meeting rather than placing it on consent.
