The Alexandria Township Board of Education voted to adopt its 2025–2026 final budget as part of the consent agenda on April 29, 2025. The adopted budget sets the General Fund operating budget at $11,422,491, a Special Revenue Fund of $146,356, and Debt Service of $952,575 for a grand total of $12,521,422; the General Fund and Debt Service tax levy is listed as $10,704,901.
The budget package included two specific adjustments: $167,400 to cover increased health-benefit costs and a $200,652 banked-cap adjustment the board said was necessary to cover higher-than-anticipated spending increases. The board also established a maximum travel expenditure of $20,000 for the 2025–2026 school year and approved travel and related expense reimbursements to a combined maximum of $80,000. "BE IT RESOLVED that the Alexandria Township Board of Education adopts the 2025-2026 final budget," the meeting record states.
