The Yellow Medicine East School Board adopted a resolution April 14, 2025, determining the necessity of issuing general obligation bonds and calling a special election on that question. The motion was made by Amanda Lecy and seconded by Matt Zempel and carried by roll call vote.
The board also approved a community engagement and referendum marketing proposal from Dehler PR, LLC to support outreach connected with the referendum effort. The board discussed related procedural steps and authorized submission of a Review & Comment to the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education, also approved at the same meeting.
Board Chair Jeremy LeBlanc presided over the meeting. The actions were recorded during the April 14, 2025 session; the district posted meeting logistics noting the event was held in the YME Board Room and streamed on the district YouTube channel.
