At the Oct. 2 work session the Wrenshall Board examined sample facility-use procedures pulled from other districts to inform local policy drafting. The Kenyon-Wanamingo sample addendum to Policy 902 was reviewed; it requires certificate of liability insurance for categories 2–4 and states the district requires $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate naming the district as additional insured.
The materials reviewed also spell out application timing (requests submitted at least five business days before the event), user responsibility for staffing costs when district custodial staff are not on regular duty, and a cancellation policy that bills 50% of estimated staffing and rental fees if notice is not received at least two business days before the event. The board discussed these policy elements as potential models while drafting local procedures.
