Human Resources Director Sandra Harris recognized nine district retirees at the May 22 board meeting, thanking them for service ranging from four to 26 years.
The board acknowledged: Kimberly Myers (Reading Specialist, Dry Hollow Elementary; 11 years), Sonja Little (TAG Coordinator; 25 years), Susan Harris (5th-grade teacher, Chenowith Elementary; 26 years), Sandra Smith (Nutrition Services), Carol Moore (Educational Assistant, The Dalles High School; 20 years), Karen Walasavage (Nutrition Services; 4 years), Robin Coleman (Educational Assistant, Title I, Dry Hollow; 15 years), Tina Molden (Secretary III Registrar, The Dalles High School; 9 years) and Sharlene Bonham (Counseling Secretary, The Dalles High School; 9 years). Cindy Miller was also listed for “several decades” of service as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent.
Director Harris noted the retirees’ roles and years of service and the board extended appreciation for their contributions to the district. Several were thanked publicly by name during the staff-recognition portion of the agenda.
