Bill Muneer identified himself as acting head of the Resource Management Committee and called the meeting to order on Aug. 5, 2026. A committee member said the change followed a disclosure from Legislator Curran that his professional obligations prevent him from giving “full commitment” to chair duties.
A member speaking early in the meeting announced the leadership changes and thanked Curran for past work. The member said, “We appreciate, legislator Curran approached me earlier in the week and let me know that his personal professional obligations are making it so that he can't give full commitment to his obligations as chair of this committee.” The member added, “We appreciate you, mister Munier, stepping in and taking over as chair,” and recognized Rick Swails for stepping into the vice chair role.
After the announcement the clerk conducted roll call and reported seven members present, establishing a quorum. The committee then moved, seconded and approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of July 1, 2026, by voice vote.
