Randy Anderson told the committee that the district’s Internal Service Fund includes a transportation arrangement with Sherman County that provides roughly $300,000 in annual revenue and operational efficiencies.
Under the contract, North Wasco manages transportation services for Sherman County—providing staff and buses while Sherman County uses its bus barn for operations—resulting in reciprocal payments and occasional shared drivers. "The contract supports staff employment, and drivers from Sherman occasionally assist with D21 routes when needed," Anderson said.
He explained the transfers shown in the general fund represent funds moved to dedicated accounts such as the Technology Fund, Vehicle Replacement Fund, Textbook Adoption Fund, and Debt Service Fund. Committee members asked where to find the transfer details; Anderson said the budget narrative and supporting schedules contain the line‑item breakdowns and offered to provide further documentation.
