The Milton‑Freewater Unified SD 7 school board voted unanimously Oct. 14 to accept two grants presented by Superintendent Aaron Duff.
Duff told the board that one award is a donation from Milton‑Freewater Elks BPOE #2146 to the Mac‑Hi sports department to purchase travel bags, and that Umatilla Public Health offered a $5,000 grant intended “for lunchtime activities for students.” Tina Kain moved to accept the grants and the motion passed unanimously.
The board did not attach conditions to either acceptance during the meeting. The grants were presented during the action items portion of the board agenda and are recorded as accepted by vote.
