Draft 2025–26 instructional calendar meets contractual requirements; final vote set for March meeting

The packet lists student contact days by quarter: Qt. 1 — 40 days; Qt. 2 — 40 days; Qt. 3 — 43 days; Qt. 4 — 43.5 days. The draft also shows additional inservice days for professional development and early-release Wednesdays.
"The final calendar will be presented to the Board as an action item at the March 2025 Board meeting," the packet states. McLaughlin and district staff told the board that the draft incorporated feedback from licensed and classified unions and that they will continue site visits and community communication ahead of the March vote.
