District highlights TAPP expansion, integrated plan approval and Native American equity work

CTUIR Education Director Jaimie Crane praised Ray Fox, the new TAPP family advocate at Sunridge Middle School, as a positive influence for students.
Superintendent Kevin Headings presented the November 1 enrollment report and reviewed Pendleton’s 2023–24 Integrated Plan — a four‑year plan combining state and federal initiatives — which ODE approved for the district’s first year of implementation. Yoshioka presented the Native American Equity Report describing areas for data‑driven questions about access and course participation; Shawndine Jones outlined the 'Walk to Language' Umatilla language lessons and provided class counts by grade.
