The Lubbock County Commissioners on Nov. 22 approved auditor-recommended budget moves: line-item transfers of $1,526,181 and budget amendments totaling $147,107, and authorized payments of claims in the amount of $2,324,424.06.
The auditor (Miss Williams) presented the transfers and amendments, stating, "I present line item transfers in the amount of $1,526,181 and budget amendments in the amount of $147,107 and ask for your approval." Commissioners moved and seconded approval and the motions carried. The court also accepted a Government Finance Officers Association certificate recognizing the county’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024; the judge read the GFOA release noting it "has awarded the certificate achievement for excellence in financial reporting to the county of Lubbock."
