Jason Hague won the budget committee chair election after a nomination and roll-call vote at the start of the April 21 meeting. Chair (speaker 1) closed nominations and called the roll; the chair announced, "Motion carries," after the tally and congratulated the new chair.
Coral was elected vice chair by roll-call vote during the same opening sequence. The chair opened nominations for vice chair, a nomination was made for Coral and seconded, and the committee conducted individual votes that resulted in a "Motion passes," the chair said. No formal mover/second names beyond the spoken nominations were recorded on the transcript.
The elections were conducted before Superintendent Susan Penrod delivered the budget presentation that framed the committee's work for the coming weeks.
