During the Nov. 18 regular meeting, the Splendora ISD Board of Trustees unanimously reaffirmed its Board Code of Ethics and approved several governance documents, including the Board Reports/Activities Calendar, the Board Meetings Calendar, and the Board Operating Procedures Manual.
The motion to reaffirm the code of ethics was made by Allen Wells and seconded by Kim Klepcyk; the motion passed 6–0. Separately, Dan Muirhead moved, seconded by Brandon Fry, to approve the calendars and operating manual; that motion also passed 6–0. The minutes do not record substantive debate or edits to the documents.
Why it matters: Formal reaffirmation and adoption of governance documents set expectations and procedures for board conduct and operations going forward.
