Board approves FFA and outdoor school overnight trips for early May

The board moved, seconded and approved multiple overnight student trips. A motion to approve the FFA CDE overnight trip passed on voice vote, followed by approval of a state-level FFA overnight trip. The board then approved outdoor school overnight trips scheduled for May 5 through May 8, 2025.
Laura (staff) described the outdoor school plans and said at present three counselors will accompany students and the district had no male counselors signed up; she asked the board to encourage any high-school boys interested in serving as counselors to apply. "We will be going the 5th through the 8th," Laura said, and staff noted roughly six students will not attend because of selection limits or scheduling conflicts. The board voted in favor of the outdoor school trip and instructed staff to finalize arrangements and chaperone assignments.
