Superintendent Jennifer Blaine opened the Oct. 21 meeting with acknowledgments and recognition of district achievements and partners.
"Superintendent Jennifer Blaine congratulated the students and staff award winners and the National Merit Semifinalists and expressed gratitude to the Spring Branch Education Foundation for their generous annual donations." The board also recognized the Stratford High School Symphony Orchestra as a national winner in the 2024 Mark of Excellence Competition; Hsiao‑chuan Teng received the Asia Society Texas Y. Ping Sun Award; and Chief Larry Baimbridge was recognized as the 2024 Dr. Rod Paige School Safety Award winner. These recognitions were presented as special presentations early in the agenda and no public speakers signed up specifically on those items.
