Council names planning-commission and zoning-board appointees

Council approved several appointments during the Aug. 5 meeting. By resolution, Robert Ford and Brianna (resume in packet) were appointed to the Upper Darby Planning Commission; both names were included in the council packet and Brianna briefly addressed the council.
Council also approved a resolution appointing Melinda Kuhar Owens as an alternate to the Zoning Hearing Board. Melinda introduced herself and said she has lived in Upper Darby for six years and looks forward to serving.
Both measures were introduced and approved by voice vote; council members noted applicants’ resumes were included in the meeting materials and welcomed the new volunteers.
