The Centennial School District Board voted unanimously on May 14 to adopt the district's recommended K–12 Health curriculum for the 2025–2027 cycle.
Director of Curriculum & Student Learning Maureen Callahan presented the curriculum review and said the recommended materials include "The Great Body Shop" for grades K–5, "Live Well: Middle School Health" for grades 6–8, and "Live Well: Comprehensive High School Health" for grades 9–12. Callahan described teacher and student feedback used in the selection process and reviewed communication and opt-out procedures that will accompany implementation.
Vice Chair Pam Shields moved to adopt the K–12 Health curriculum and Director William Mohring seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Board members asked questions during the presentation about areas of concern raised in feedback and next steps for communicating materials to families.
