Board schedules April 23 work session, budget committee and other items for coming weeks

Superintendent James Owens reviewed items slated for future meetings, telling the board that the next Board Work Session will be virtual on April 23 and that the Budget Committee will meet at 6:00 p.m. with the work session to follow at 7:30 p.m. Owens listed anticipated agenda items including Teacher Appreciation Week, an Integrated Guidance Plan, presentation of the 2025-26 school calendar, 2025-26 student fees, updated meal prices, a Construction Excise Tax review, and appointment of an Equity Committee.
Director Ronald "Jess" Hardin asked when spring data would be available; administration responded that those results would be presented to the board either in May or June. Director David Linn offered to share information he received from ODOT at a recent Centennial Community Association meeting. No formal actions were taken on the future-agenda items during the meeting.
