Supervisors approve final CMC building plan at Knowledge Park

Harborcreek Township supervisors voted to approve Penn State Behrend's final land development plan for the CMC building at Knowledge Parkway and Merwin Lane.
Connie (planning staff) told the board the final plan reduces the building size from a previously proposed 40,000 square feet to 27,641 square feet, adds six loading spaces at the rear, and includes a traffic lane around the building to serve multiple tenants. She said the existing parking area will be shared with the new construction and that remaining approvals include the township engineer's review letter, erosion-and-sediment (E&S) approval and a sewer availability letter. "The preliminary plan did request or require some corrections to the plan. They had complied with that," Connie said.
Speaker 2 moved to approve the final plan "per the planning commission's recommendation," and the chair seconded; both recorded votes of "yes." The board thanked project representatives in attendance.
The planning commission had recommended approval contingent on the township engineer's review letter; staff noted stormwater design changes were minor and landscaping and parking generally remained as shown in the preliminary plan. The board did not modify the final plan on the record during the meeting.
