Committee to present top-ranked developer for 115 Bluffton Road in executive session next week

The Affordable Housing meeting heard that the RFP review committee completed interviews of the top-ranked applicants for development at 115 Bluffton Road and selected a preferred developer to recommend to town council. "I am actually presenting to town council executive session behind closed doors next Tuesday to bring it to town council, our top option," a staff member said.
Staff said town council could approve or reject the recommendation in executive session; if the council declines, staff will return to the drawing board. The staff member expected an announcement to the public by the following Wednesday and said contractor calls and related outreach could begin Wednesday or Thursday after the council action. Because the recommendation will go to executive session, the committee did not discuss developer terms in public at the meeting.
