Klamath County SD board approves lists of hires, renewals, non-renewals and administrator contract extensions
Summary
The board approved multiple personnel motions including contract renewals for probationary teachers and administrators, non-renewal lists, and extensions of two- and three-year contracts. The Director of Business Services received a three-year contract extension.
During its March 13 meeting the board approved a suite of personnel actions: renewal of first-to-first, first-to-second, and second-to-third year probationary teacher/nurse/counselor contracts; approval of third-year probationary teachers to contract status; lists of temporary teachers for non-renewal; non-extension of certain contract teachers; and extensions of two-year teacher/nurse/occupational therapist/counselor contracts. Motions were made and seconded (recorded as John Rademacher and Jill O'Donnell in several cases) and recorded as passing by the board where shown.
The board also approved probationary administrator renewals, third-year administrators to contract status, and three-year administrator contract extensions. Specifically, the board extended a three-year contract for the Director of Business Services, Janet Melsness, and approved other administrator contract actions. These personnel motions were recorded on the consent and action agenda lines with individual names and positions included in the board packet.
