Zillah Council approves 2024 budget amendments and adopts 2025 budget and salaries ordinance

At its Dec. 16 meeting the City Council voted to approve end‑of‑year adjustments contained in Ordinance No. 1592 and then adopted Ordinance No. 1594, the 2025 budget, and Ordinance No. 1593 establishing 2025 salaries. The motions passed unanimously.
The budget amendments covered multiple accounts including current expenses, street funds, capital projects, REET and others as listed in the ordinance materials. Council held a public hearing on the 2025 Final Budget (opened at 6:50 p.m. and closed at 6:51 p.m.) during which no members of the public testified. The council record lists motions and seconds for each ordinance and records unanimous passage.
