The Sudan Independent School District board approved a motion to adjourn its special meeting on Aug. 11, 2025, at 6:28 p.m. Secretary Ryan Netherland moved to approve adjourning; Ryan Harper seconded. The motion "carried 6-0" on the board record; Dustin Provence was listed as absent.
President Richard Salazar had called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.; the special session had focused on review of a draft 2025–26 budget led by Superintendent Scott Harrell. Following the adjournment vote, Vice President Clay Carr gave the benediction and the meeting record shows signatures by the president and secretary.
