Applicant Marilyn DeMaio told the council she agreed with the staff report and supported the rezoning so the properties could be fully utilized for single‑family homes. After a motion and no further council discussion, the ordinance passed on a unanimous roll call.
Council staff noted the parcels currently lack city water and sewer and are on a private, non‑maintained roadway; the rezoning addresses the lot‑use mismatch and corrects nonconforming status for the two lots. The final hearing outcome was recorded on Aug. 5.
