Road department reports graveling, dispatch-road work; Webber asphalt on order

Joel Elkins of the road department told commissioners crews have been graveling and rocking county roads and have done work on Randall Road. He said the crew plans to work on the dispatch road this week. Commissioner Brent Beck requested that motor graders be run over all dirt roads before harvest to improve conditions.

Commissioner Ervin Underwood relayed a resident concern about the Webber black top and the use of limestone rock to fill potholes; Elkins said asphalt has been ordered and the county is waiting to receive it to perform permanent repairs. Underwood also inquired about residents paying for gravel and whether the county would haul and place gravel on non-FAS roads; the transcript records the question but no resolution.
