The board approved a probationary administrator contract covering the remainder of the 2024–2025 school year and extending through the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 school years.
The motion to hire Nash was made by Trustee James Hamilton and seconded by Trustee Scott Renfro; the board recorded the motion as carried, five in favor and none opposed. During public forum earlier in the meeting, Erick Elwell addressed the board to express support for hiring Nash. The hiring followed an executive session held under Texas Government Code §551.074 to discuss employment of individual employees. The board set its next regular meeting for Jan. 13, 2025.
