The Old Tappan Borough Council adopted a consent resolution that included a range of routine items: bills and claims, release of cash bonds and escrow, sewer charge amendments, use of the HGAC cooperative purchasing program for equipment, a contract award to Loudoun Electric Inc., and confirmations of clerical and firefighter appointments.
Council members clarified the HGAC cooperative purchasing vehicle is the same Houston‑Galveston Area Council program the borough has used previously for emergency equipment procurement. "That's the same one we've used in the past," one council member said during discussion of the item. Members noted the HGAC purchase funded a 2023‑budgeted fire department vehicle and that the Loudoun Electric contract relates to golf‑course electrical work.
The consent agenda also confirmed several appointments, including a new firefighter (Rotolo) and cadet firefighters Song and Ryun. With a motion and second, the council approved the full consent package by roll call. There was no separate debate on individual consent items.
