At the May 5 meeting the Environmental Commission approved two items related to new bird signage at the Nature Preserve. Lisa Rehm and Matt Graves moved and seconded a $250 payment to the Bergen County Audubon Society to accept donated graphics for the new bird sign; the motion passed with all in favor.
Commissioners also approved a $100 Wild Birds Unlimited gift card to 'Dee' for creation and donation of a Common Birds sign; that motion, made by Nicole Terrarosa and seconded by Lisa Rehm, also passed unanimously. Both actions were recorded as votes taken during the New Business portion of the meeting and are intended to finalize graphics and recognize the volunteer contribution to the Nature Preserve signage project.
Commissioners discussed installation frames and a schedule to deploy the new signs; no additional funds or design changes were authorized at the meeting.
