Commissioners approve abatements, reappoint library representative and approve minutes

The Jewell County commissioners handled routine business at the July 28 meeting, approving several motions unanimously. Brent Beck moved, and Ed Duskie seconded, approval of abatements #2621, #2622, #2623, #2624 and #2625; the motion passed unanimously. Beck then moved to reappoint Jan Carlson as the county appointee to the Central Kansas Library District; Duskie seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Duskie moved and Beck seconded approval of the July 21 commissioner minutes; that motion also passed unanimously.
Commissioners also noted administrative matters earlier in the session, including the hospital-board reappointments of Kendall Nelson and Steve Green announced by Commissioner Beck and presentation of a generator- repair quote. The meeting was adjourned at 10:28 a.m.
